Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase (Grade 1) (GBB Race)

The Champion Chase is the biggest race for chasers over the minimum jumps distance of two miles. This year it is set to play host to round two of the biggest match-up in racing at the moment: Shishkin versus Energumene. Can Energumene turn the tables after their ding-dong battle at Ascot in January?

The Champion Chase is a relatively good race for veteran horses. There were consecutive ten-year-old winners (Sprinter Sacre and Special Tiara) in 2016 and 2017, whereas no horse that old has won the Gold Cup since 1998
